Camping In The Smoky Mountains

The Smoky Mountain area has many campgrounds to choose from to suit those looking for something primitive or those looking for a few more amenities. There are campgrounds available with RV hookups in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Townsend, and Cherokee. Many of these campgrounds come equipped with showers, electrical and water hookups, grills and swimming pools.

For those looking for something a little more adventurous, the Smokies offer frontcountry and backcountry camping. Frontcountry camping offers developed campsites that can be reached by car. These campsites do offer restrooms and running water, but there are no showers or electrical hookups. A small fee typically applies to frontcountry camping. Backcountry camping will require hiking to your campsite. Backcountry camping is free, but is only permitted in designated campsites and requires a permit that can be obtained from most ranger stations or visitor centers.

Our campground features, 156 shady sites with full hookups, 50 campsites on the Little Pigeon River with river fishing, 30 and 50 amp electrical hookups, Full facility Rental Cabins (no pets please), Pool, clean modern bath houses, laundry. Camp store - ice, groceries, RV supplies, public phones. Pavilion for gatherings - church service held Sundays during season, Playground area, LP gas.
